1. Who we are
PackingListPro ("we", "us") provides AI-assisted travel preparation reports at packinglistpro.com. This policy explains how we handle personal data.
2. What we collect
- Trip details you enter: destination, travel dates, traveler type, trip purpose and report language. These are used only to generate your report.
- Email address if you choose to have a report or message sent to you.
- Payment confirmation from PayPal. We receive confirmation that payment succeeded and an order reference. We never receive or store your card number or PayPal password.
- Approximate location (country only) via a one-time IP lookup, used solely to pre-select your site language. Your IP address is not stored for this purpose.
- Technical security data: limited request metadata used for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
3. How we use your data
We use the data above to generate and deliver your report, process your payment through PayPal, respond to contact messages, and protect the Service from abuse. We do not use your trip details for advertising.
4. Third parties
- Anthropic (Claude API) processes your trip details to generate the report content.
- PayPal processes payments under its own privacy policy.
- ip-api.com performs the one-time country lookup for language detection.
We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
5. Data retention
Trip data and one-time tokens needed to deliver your report are stored only transiently and are cleared automatically after a short period. We keep minimal records as required to handle payment disputes and comply with the law.
6. Cookies and local storage
We use your browser's local storage to remember your selected language. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
7. Security
The site is served over HTTPS with strict security headers, a content security policy, rate limiting and one-time payment tokens. API keys and credentials are kept server-side and are never exposed to your browser.
8. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including the EU/EEA under GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, or object to its processing. To exercise these rights, email info@packinglistpro.com.
9. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
